As the first topic of this newsletter, we wanted to make you aware that as part of our continued effort to help protect the security and integrity of your data we have implemented additional security measures throughout the system.

From your point of view, you will find that the next time you log into your EAZ MAG Writer system you will be asked to enter a new password for your login. This is to ensure that your login's password adheres to the latest security and encryption guidelines.

Please note that if you are using a 'shared' login, eg 1 x Primary Teacher login, and you cannot log on with your original login details then one of your colleagues may have already updated the password. In this instance, we would suggest that you confer with your colleagues to obtain the more up-to-date details.

You may have noticed that we’ve recently updated the functionality of EAZ MAG by adding a new scrolling system to both Formative Assessment by Group and the Specify Factors sections. This will make the whole input process more efficient and save you time when entering formative highlighting and manual factor changes.

This feature has definitely been the topic of discussion over the last few months, so we thought it was a good time to remind users that you can enable 2FA email, Microsoft or Google Authentication at any time via your Logins section.

Would it be helpful to enter all your reading assessments in the same place?

The good news is that we've created a single point of entry system for reading assessment including teacher assessment, test scores, phonics and book banding.

Simply use the 'Reading Types' option from the 'Subjects' dropdown in the Summative Assessment window.

We just wanted to make our Doncaster schools aware that you can now assess and track your LA SEMH statements from within the system. Please get in touch with support if you need assistance with this new feature.

Although this particular news topic relates to our Doncaster schools, if any other schools would like to track their own SEMH statements / grids please let us know.

We have created the facility for you to record and track your own Power Maths and Automaticity assessments from within the same system. Please contact us if you require further info on this new feature.

It appears that the Arbor API is currently being upgraded to accommodate the requirements that we (and others) are asking from it, but we will continue to work with Arbor to make this two way connection a reality for our schools. We will keep you posted as developments occur.
